Police have taken a man into custody who is alleged to have assaulted the 40 year old man of Lakeba Street whose body was found in a billiard shop in Fulaga Street Samabula early yesterday morning.
Police have confirmed the man was arrested from his home earlier in the day and is currently being questioned in relation to the death of the 40 year old man.
Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri says the man is alleged to have assualted the deceased after a drinking part early yesterday morning.
Meanwhile, police are still investigating the death of a 27 year old woman whose body was found in a cane field in Lomolomo, Lautoka yesterday morning.
According to police there were some injuries on the body and a post mortem is expected to be conducted tomorrow.
