A 44 year old man appeared in the Ba Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with dangerous driving and causing the death of a 50 year old man.
Atish Chand of Nadari, Ba, pleaded not guilty to causing the death of 50 year old Parma Nand while driving his private vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in Baravu, Ba.
The Court was told that Chand is alleged to have been drunk during the incident and drove his car dangerously which caused the death of Nand.
Chand has been granted bail of $1000 assurity and the matter has been adjourned to the 26th of next month.
