A twenty six year old was this afternoon sentenced to 3 years behind bars for defiling a teenage girl.
The court heard that Yasin Ali had defiled a 13 and a half year old girl at the Pender Court Motel in Suva in 2006.
He was acquitted for the crime back in 2006, however, the state appealed the decision, resulting in the case being heard before Justice Nazhat Shameem this morning, whereby Ali was sentenced to 3 years in jail.
