Police are now awaiting the post mortem result on the 39 year old man who was found dead found along Victoria Parade in Suva at around 11.30 last night.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said it is believed that the deceased was involved in a brawl with couple of youths.
Sokomuri adds that the deceased was taken to the hospital however he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The deceased also had visible injuries on him.
Meanwhile, Police are currently questioning the driver of a private vehicle that veered of the road and ended into a creek in Nabua earlier this morning.
According to Police the man was allegedly drunk during the time of the incident and his car landed in a creek in Nabua, just past the Grantham road junction however the driver escaped injuries.
He is still in police custody.
