Police are investigating the death of 22-year-old fisherman of Narocake village in Rewa, who is beleived to have died of fish poisoning.

Police confirmed the man returned home after fishing yesterday afternoon and told his wife to cook the fish, which was a Sumusumu, that he had caught.

After eating the fish, the man complained of stomach pain and was rushed to the Wainibokasi Hospital.

Doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The post mortem examination is expected to be carried out tomorrow.
