A 40 year old man of Nadi has died after he was hit by a vehicle near Nadi Bay last night.
According to police the driver of the vehicle which hit the deceased was involved in an accident in Wailoaloa earlier on, and instead of stopping after the first accident he fled the scene.
When he reached Nadi Bay he lost control of the vehicle and as a result the vehicle went off the road and hit the man who was walking along the road.
He is currently in custody at the Nadi Police station.
