The road death toll is now 11 compared to 15 for the same period last year after a man died in an accident in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.

Police are expected to question the driver of the water truck which veered off the road on its way to Natadola killing the man.

The driver had also sustained some injuries and was admitted at the Sigatoka hospital.

The incident took place around 2.30 yesterday afternoon when the water truck which was heading towards Natadola veered off the road and hit a electric post.

The passenger in the truck died instantly.

Meanwhile, the seven people have been treated and sent home after they sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by another vehicle.

The driver who was travelling towards Sawani lost control of his vehicle and went on the opposite lane hitting oncoming vehicles.

The driver will be questioned today.
