Police are investigating an incident where a man died after being struck by lightning yesterday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Corporal Suliano Tevita said the 22 year old villager of Wainibutu, Nadi was riding a horse and supplying food to relatives with some other villages when the incident happened.
He was rushed to Nadi hospital however was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police are looking for a mother who is beleived to have thrown her baby into the Sigatoka river. The body of the baby was found by a 16 year old boy of Nayala village who went swimming with friends.
The baby’s body is at Sigatoka mortuary for post mortem.
