A 34 year old man charged with the defilement of a girl under 13 years appeared in Labasa Magistrate Court today.
It is alleged the shop manager allegedly had defiled the girl several times in his shop from 13th December last year.
Police Prosecutor Dharmen kumar today objected to bail on the grounds that the offence was serious accused and the victim are closely related.
However Magistrate Peni Lomaloma granted an $800 dollar bail with assurity and has been ordered not to interfere with the witnesses, stay 100m away from the victim and to report to Labasa Police Station on Friday between 6am to 6pm.
He did not plead guilty and the case has been adjourned till 2nd March.
