Police have arrested and charged a man with giving false information after he claimed that he was allegedly kidnapped and sodomised by a group of soldiers last month.
The man who now lives in Narere was earlier taken in for questioning by police soon after he was interviewed on Fiji Television.
Police had earlier confirmed that this is the second time the man had made this type of false complaint. Last year he also claimed that he was kidnapped and sodomised in Lautoka, however, upon police investigation it was established that he had made a false report.
