A 24-year-old man of Serua has been arrested and charged for allegedly breaking into a house and attempting to rape the 36-year-old owner of the house.
Navua police has confirmed that the man was arrested on Saturday night, after he broke into the house to steal and then attempted to rape the owner a 36-year-old housewife.
The woman in self defense kicked the suspect who knocked out. According to police the suspect was drunk at the time of the incident.
The suspect before committing the offence is also alleged to have robbed another woman in the same area of cash and other items.
He will appear in the Navua Magistrates court later today.
