A 29-year-old man was today told by the Suva Magistrates court to pay $100 and was bound over for 12 months for assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2006.
Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Harish Chand told Magistrate Amani Rokotinaviti that Josefa Ravula on August 16th, 2006 assaulted a 15-year-old boy who was walking home in Delanavesi.
Ravula approached the boy and upon asking some questions started punching and kicking the boy.
The boy was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
Magistrate Rokotinaviti warned Ravula not to reoffend in the next 12 months or he would face jail time.
