A man is currently in custody for assaulting police officers at the Nausori Bridge yesterday.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the man is charged with resisting arrest, damaging property and assaulting police officers.
Sokumuri said the man, who was in a taxi that was stopped at a roadblock on Nausori Bridge, swore at police officers, a confrontation developed leading to the assault of the officers.
The man will appear in court tomorrow.
