Police arrested a man who was in possession of a pistol on Friday night in Suva.
Police spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the man was questioned and upon investigation is believed to be a member of the Military Force.
Sokomuri says the man is now under the custody of the Military at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks and all queries are to be referred to QEB.
Meanwhile the Military spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni is expected to comment later on the issue.
