Nausori Police Officers managed to arrest a man who broke into Gokul Jewelers and was trying to flee with $39,000 worth of cash and jewelry on Friday night.

Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed Nausori Police received a call at 7.45pm that someone had broken into Gokul jewelers and was trying to steal cash and jewelries.

As Police Officers reached the jewelry shop, they heard someone walking on top of the roof of the shop and upon quick check they found this man trying to flee with $32,000 cash and $7000 worth of jewelry.

Police managed to recover all stolen items.

The man is in Police custody and is expected to appear in Nausori Magistrate Court tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Police are still interviewing the four youths who were arrested yesterday afternoon in relation to the robbery at BP service station at the Nabua Round about.

Sokomuri confirmed they have not recovered cash or item as yet.
