A 27 year old man charged with alleged rape of a 29 year old woman appeared in Lautoka Magistrates Court today.
The 29 year old woman was walking home around 2.30 in the morning when it is alleged that the man was following her and after sometime he dragged her to a nearby bush and allegedly raped her in Vuda point.
Magistrate Maika Nakora ordered him to be remanded in custody and no plea was taken due to the seriousness of the offence and he been asked to seek a legal counsel.
The case will be called on 1st September.
