Police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old farmer of Seaqaqa, for allegedly raping his 11-year-old niece on Friday afternoon.
The alleged incident took place when the 11-year-old girl was returning home after school.
It is alleged the uncle took her to nearby bush and raped her.
The girl who was staying with the accused and her aunty to attend school relayed the incident to her aunty who then reported the matter to the Seaqaqa police station.
He will appear in the Labasa Magistrates court later today.
