Man Allegedly Rapes Daughters
Deputy Director CID, SP Adi Sen has confirmed that the man was brought in for questioning after the matter was reported to police by the victims.
He is currently being questioned at the CID Headquarters in Suva street.
It is alleged that the man started raping his daughters since 1987 when they were very young. Both the daughters are now in late 30's.
According to SP Sen, the 60 year old man's daughter-in-law also reported to CID that she was allegedly raped by the father-in-law a number of times.
Meanwhile, a 22 year old man of Navua charged with 22 counts of raping his 17 year old sister will appear in the Suva Magistrates court today.
The incident took place over the last three months. The matter was reported to police by the younger brother who caught his elder brother allegedly raping his sister. The victim told the police that the elder brother allegedly threatened to kill her, every time he used to rape her. The parents were unaware of the rapes.
