A 65 year old Rabi man is expected to be charged with act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he allegedly knifed his neighbour after a heated argument in Uma village yesterday.

Divisional Crime Officer Northern ASP Luke Rawalai confirms that the victim was burning rubbish in his compound when the fire spread through to the suspects compound and burnt a tree.

There was a heated argument between the two, when it is alledged that the suspect struck the victim several times on his head and arm with a knife.

ASP Rawalai said the victim received deep wounds on his head and is currently admitted Labasa Hospital.
