16 teams will battle it out for the first IRB World sevens series tournament at Gold Coast.

Defending champions Fiji faces a mammoth task today of trying to beat ever improving Scotland, neighbors Tonga and hosts Australia.

Vice Captain Osea Kolinisau said he will try to use his exposure over the years to guide the new players.
 
The Gold Coast 7s begins at 12.30pm with England taking on Kenya. 
 
Fiji will play Scotland in its first pool match at 2:42pm today, Fiji will play Tonga at 5.58pm and will then face Australia at 9.46pm.
