Malasebe murder trial to start in March
High court Judge, Justice Nazhat Shameem told the court today that Lole Vulaca, Waisale Bolatawa, Maika Rauqera, Rusiate Korovusere, Jone Cama, Eronimo Susunikoro, Eramasi Naraga and Pita Matai's case cannot be heard this year due to time constraints.
Lawyer, Mahboob Raza who is representing the accused persons, today asked the court for more time to go through the disclosures with his clients.
The court has been discussing all the preliminary matters, and has given time to the defense and the prosecution, to come up with a date for the trial to start.
Raza also asked for bail variations, as he wants his clients to report to the Valelevu Police station instead of reporting to the Nasinu Police station.
The case has been adjourned to the 13th of next month for mention.
The eight allegedly beat up Tevita Malesebe to death at the Valelevu Police station.
