Defence Lawyer in the Tevita Malasebe case, John Semisi has this morning requested presiding Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem to call two character witnesses before she delivers her sentence.
Semisi told Judge Shameem that he wants to call Director CID, SP Tevita Lesu and a priest as character witnesses.
Detective Constable Lole Vulaca and Rusiate Korovusere have been found guilty of murder while Sergent Pita Matai has been found guilty of accessory to murder. The three are expected to be handed their sentences today.
The court will resume in the next hour.
