Both the sacked Great Council of Chiefs members and the Interim Administration have been told by the Courts this morning, to make more submissions on their case which was called before High Court Judge, Justice Davendra Pathik in chambers.

Sacked members of the GCC, Ratu Ovini Bokini, Ratu Sakiusa Makutu and Ratu Epenisa Cakobau had taken the interim government to court for their removal earlier this year and as a result the interim administration moved a motion to strike out the case.

Justice Pathik told both parties to make more submissions on the matter and this will be heard on the 15th of January next year.

Outside court, GCC lawyer Savenaca Komaisavai revealed that by December the interim government is willing to appoint GCC members.

Komaisavai added that the Interim Fijian Affairs Minister should not make any appointments as he would embarrass himself and he also said that he would challenge the appointments.
