In depth consultation needs to be carried out first before any changes are made to Native Land.
This is the opinion of the President of the Provincial Youth Council, John Ryder following a report by Doctor Krishna Murti saying that all native land should be de-reserved.
The Provincial Council, which represents the 14 provinces in the country, calls on the Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry to take into consideration the views of the Indigenous community as land is sacred to them.
The report by Doctor Krishnamurti said native land should be de-reserved to revive the sugar industry.
