The proposed People's Charter Process Taskforce Team Leader said it is important that council members and the public at large make their submissions now so that these could be incorporated into the draft charter within the next few months.

This was the advice Team Leader Adi Finau Tabakaucoro had given to the Tailevu Provincial Council meeting yesterday advising them that the proposed charter will contain submissions made by members of the public.

In a statement released, it was stated that Adi Finau also re-emphasised that the proposed charter is not intended to override the country's Constitution.

The statement said about one hundred and forty villages in the province is being approached to make submissions to the proposed charter.
