Make A Difference
These are the words of Get the Children Back To School Appeal organizer and Navtarang Programs Director Satya Nand who said today is the last day that people can contribute to this appeal and help a child that has been affected by the flood to go back to school.
Nand said while children start school this coming week, some have no uniforms, some no text books and some not even lunch or bus fares.
So far the appeal has collected more than $75,000.
Organized by Communications Fiji Limited's radio stations, Legend FM, its sister stations and our website fijivillage.com, the flood appeal will continue today to 6pm.
Our teams will be at Mid City Complex Digicel Office Cumming Street Suva from 10 this morning, Post Fiji Post Shop in Suva from 10am, RB Centre Point 10am, Nausori opposite the bus stand next to Rups from 10am and from our office 231 Waimanu Road Suva from 10am, in Sigatoka at Sigatoka Electric Limited there is a sealed box where you can give your donations, Nadi at Macdonalds from 10-2pm, in Lautoka at Jolly Good from 8am-2pm, at the Ba Total Service Station from 9am - 1pm and up north in Labasa Hotel Takia Arcade from 8am and in Central Town Savusavu.
The money raised will be given to Save The Children Fiji to help children get back to school.
The money will be used to provide bus fares, lunches as well as other school items.
A person donating, who wished to remain anonymous calls on people to help.
