Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan says majority of the overseas players will not be available for the Rio Olympics this year.
Ryan says a lot of overseas based 15s players have contacted him and shown interest in playing for the national 7s side ahead of the Olympics.
He says he has rejected some of the overseas players and others have talk to their respective clubs first.
Ryan says his main priority is the local players.
Meanwhile France based, Semi Kunatani arrives in the country next week and is likely to be picked for the Wellington and Sydney 7s.
The 2016 Fiji Bayleys Coral Coast 7s will kick off at 10am today at Lawaqa Park with Westfield Dragons playing Shangri‑La Daveta.
Police are the defending champion.
