With Pacific Sun announcing today that starting from October 11th this year additional flights will land at Waiqele Airport, the government has revealed that major upgrades will take place at Waiqele airport.
Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama revealed this while launching the introduction of additional planes to Labasa this morning saying that they now want flights to land at night at the airport.
Commodore Bainimarama said that with more flights, people in the Northern Division can also expect cheap air fares.
He has applauded the effort of Pacific Sun for increasing flights to the Northern Division.
There will be a total of twenty five return flights per week between Suva and Labasa from 11th October.
