A major twist in the trial against former Airports Fiji Limited CEO Ratu Sakiusa Tuisolia this morning as he was expected to take the stand to give sworn evidence in the case.

Tuisolia was to take the stand at 8:30 this morning, however, after certain queries were raised on the Special Audit Investigation by the Auditor General's Office in 2006 into the affairs of AFL, the case was stood down.

Judge Justice Sitabarampillai Thurairaja then directed FICAC to search for certain documents and ordered that Ajay Nand who was the assistant examiner of accounts at the Auditor General's office from 2005 to 2006 and conducted the special audit investigation into AFL be re-called to give further evidence.

The case was then adjourned to 11:45, however, FICAC was not able to locate the document and the matter is now stood down to 2:15pm.

It is understood that FICAC officials are currently searching for the documents at the Auditor General's Office and the Ministry of Public Enterprise.
