Major tussle looms in Snr boys sprint events
Suva Grammar with Eroni Cagi, Marist Brothers High Schools Banuve Tabakaucoro and Lelean Memorial School with Isoa Me are expected to fight for the Gold, Silver and Bronze, as top athletes start their preparations.
Me who won 3 gold medals for Suva Grammar last year has joined Lelean this season and is hoping to compete in the 100, 200 and 4x100 metres while Tabakaucoro will also run in the 100, 200 and the relays in his first outing in the senior division.
For Cagi, this will also be his first year in the senior grades and he will try to help the Grammarian Lions win the 200, 400 and the relays.
Athletics Fiji coach Albert Miller said the senior boys sprints will be very exciting at the Coca Cola Games this year between these three top athletes but there could also be an upset, with athletes coming from other schools in the Western Division.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on 30th April and 1st May at the TFL National Stadium.
