Major roads closed
The Transport Ministry and Department of National Roads said strong winds have caused landslides, and power poles to fall which has forced road closures.
The latest road closures in the Central Division, in the Rewa Delta, roads closed include the Vuci South road, Raralevu and Baulevu road.
In Suva, the Wailoku bridge is underwater and is closed while Reservoir road has damaged power lines across the road and is closed to all traffic and Edinburgh Drive remains closed to all traffic.
The Sawani/Serea road remains closed as the Naqali bridge is still underwater, the Sawani road is closed, the Wailoa road is also closed.
In the Eastern Division, all roads in Kadavu are closed due to fallen trees, in Levuka the coastal roads, the Rukuruku and Taviya roads are closed due to flooding.
In the North, the Nabouwalu road which includes four bridges in Wairiki, Namau, Nasolo and Nawaca are all closed.
West Coast road in Savusavu is closed to all traffic and the Waibula and Waiyevo Crossing in Taveuni remain closed.
In Sigatoka, roads that are closed include Kavanagasau, Semo, Naroro flats and Valley Road.
For Nadi, roads that are closed include the Lomolomo flats, Naboutini road and Irish Crossing due to flooding and Namotomoto and Namanu roads are closed as fallen trees are blocking the road.
For Lautoka, Velovelo road is underwater, Buabua Crossing, Vaivai Crossing, Saru back road, Navula Irish Crossing, a fallen lamp-post on Naikabula Road, Waiyavi Irish Crossing and Vuda back road are all closed.
Kings Road is closed adding that in Korovou, the Qelekura, Wailotua, Naqia, Nayavu bridges are underwater and closed to all traffic and the Naseyani road is also closed.
She said the water levels in the Waidina and Wainimala Rivers are rising causing a rapid rise to the Rewa River level adding people and road users are asked to take precaution.
