A major milestone and a long time dream has been achieved by Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of Fijivillage, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam.
The largest broadcaster in the South Pacific has surpassed the 1 million dollar profit mark, making yet another record profit for 2009.
The 2009 final profit after tax of 1.412 million dollars shows a 63 percent growth in profit from the year 2008.
CFL Managing Director William Parkinson said he is very proud of the way in which CFL=s Fiji team tackled 2009 with continued increased profitability and the delivery of results to both listeners and advertisers, while cutting costs.
Parkinson said 2010 is also looking good for the CFL group.
CFL Group Chairman Hari Punja has also announced that the board has declared a final dividend payment of 4 cents for the year, bringing the total dividends for the year ended December 31st 2009 to 8 cents per share.
