A major man-hunt is on for five unidentified youths who are alleged to have robbed a shop in Nasau, Nadi of $37,000, over the weekend.

Police Spokeswoman, Ema Dimila said that the 3 youths stole a hire van registration LR 2045 from a motel car park after the driver forgot the keys in the ignition.

It is then alleged that the three then went to pick up some other friends who then stormed into a shop in Nasau.

The 5 armed with cane knives and pinch bars threatened the owner of the shop before fleeing with $2,100 cash, a mobile phone valued at $1,500 along with a black purse and a brown handbag which contained $100 cash.

The three then fled in the same stolen rental vehicle and Police calling on members of the public for assistance as investigations continue.
