The Nadi Weather Office said major flooding is expected in some areas in the Central and Eastern Division today going into tonight as heavy rain will continue for the next 24 hours in the Eastern half of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
The tropical depression is still sitting North of Viti Levu.
It is located between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
Nadi Weather Office Director, Alipate Waqaicelua said all the necessary precautions need to be taken now as the Central, Eastern and Northern division will continue to experience continuous heavy rain and the next high tide is this hour.
Waqaicelua confirms that things will not improve tomorrow morning.
