The main focus when Fiji prepares to celebrate its 38th year of independence will be on our future generations.
Interim Education Minister Filipe Bole told Fijivillage News that the celebrations will revolve around children as they play an important part of our future.
Bole said children are not like adults so they may not be fully aware of the importance of this day, so it's important to get them involved early in their lives to commemorate this important day for Fiji.
Meanwhile everyone has been asked to wear light blue on Friday, and Chairman of the Fiji Day celebrations, Major Neumi Leweni said a parade has been planned which will see the Fiji Military Forces, Fiji Police Forces and Fiji Prisons Services, display joint marches for the parade at Albert park.
