Police in Labasa are investigating a case where a number of fishermen have been chased away by a Qoliqoli owner in Wainikoro.
The matter has been reported to Labasa Police whereby it is alleged that the Qoliqoli owner chased away a few fishermen and also confiscated their catch and other items.
It is also alleged that some of the fishermen have also been physically abused by the villagers.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai is expected to comment later today.
