The Director Public Prosecutions Office has confirmed that Simon Macartney could be recharged in relation to the alleged murder of his wife Ahika Lata McCartney.
The DPPs's office confirms that while a nolle prosecui was filed in the Simon Macartney case, allowing Macartney to walk out of court a free man, as in all other cases, this also means that Macartney can be charged against should further evidence be found in the case.
Macartney was charged with one count of murder for the death of his wife, 26 year old Ashika Lata Macartney, whose body was found dumped by the Deuba highway last week.
Macartney walked out of court a free man yesterday after Magistrate John Semisi denied an adjournment sort by Police Prosecution, Bhawani Prasad because investigations were incomplete.
