Simon Macartney has been charged again.
Police Crime Detective Sergeant Balwant today confirmed that Macartney has been charged with murder in relation to the death of his 26 year old wife Ashika Lata McCartney, whose body was found along the Deuba highway a little while after arriving from Australia.
Today at a special court sitting at the Suva Magistrates Court, police sought approval from Magistrate Katonivualiku to further remand Macartney.
Katonivualiku gave the approval thus Macartney remains in custody until a court hearing tomorrow.
McCartney, who walked out of court a free man on Tuesday after Magistrate John Semisi denied an adjournment sort by police prosecution because investigations were incomplete, surrendered himself to police on Thursday afternoon.
