In a historic move, the Suva Lawn Tennis Club and the Fiji Sports Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote and further develop tennis and its associated activities in Suva.

The members of the 102-year-old Lawn Tennis Club located at Albert Park have handed over the operations and facilities to the Fiji Sports Council.

Long serving club trustee Satish Parshotam said in the recent past, the tennis club has continued to face challenges in way of dwindling membership, rising cost of operations and reducing income levels, thus making it difficult for its viability.
