A massive hunt has started for a group of men who robbed the MH Superfresh Supermarket in Tamavua in the last hour.

About ten masked men armed with cane knives, pinchbars and beer bottles stormed into the supermarket and threatned the cashiers, employees and customers before taking 5 cash registers containing today's takings.

Branch Manager, Asish Prasad told Village News that the robbers came in a light brown minivan registration EG 109 and smashed the bottles into the shop before robbing them.

No one was injured however the employees and the customers who were inside the shop are still in a state of shock.

It has also been confirmed that some of the employees have recognised some of the robbers.
