Cagi and Tabakaucoro's performance at the Coca Cola Light Games this year was below par but Athletics Fiji coach Albert Miller said they have been part of their development programme for the last few years.
Miller said he does not want the duo to be left behind when the final Team Fiji squad to the Commonwealth Youth championship is announced in September this year.
Miller said other athletes expected to make the 8 member athletics team are Pacific Games 5,000 metres gold medalist Akesa Drotini, Paulini Korowaqa from Ballantine Memorial, Salote Mereula from Navosa Central, Seleima Balevesi from ACS, Isoa Me from Natabua College and Mataiasi Savou from Suva Grammar School.
The final confirmation on athletes and teams going to the Commonwealth Youth Championship in Pune in October, will come from the FASANOC Selection Justification Committee in September this year.
