Current Air Pacific Fiji Warriors first five-eighth Alipate Tani and Harlequins playmaker Wise Luveniyali are tipped to be front runners for the number 10 jumper in the Flying Fijians squad for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup.
While Luveniyali is the understudy to former All Black Nick Evans in the Harlequins team, he has played in most of the games where Evans has been ruled out during the Guinness Premiership games.
For Tani, his inclusion in the Warriors side has helped them a lot in the Pacific Rugby Cup, especially when he was part of the Fiji Bati team.
Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua said he is concerned with the vacuum in the first five-eighth and fullback positions.
Tani will feature for the Fiji Warriors on Friday when they will take on Upolu Samoa.
It will be another chance for the Namatakula lad to impress the selectors in his bid to be in the national 15s side.
