Lucky escape for Fiji 7s team
Poor defense was again the highlight as Fiji missed more than 10 tackles in the first half which allowed Argentina to take a 12-0 lead before Fiji Coach, Eddy Waqa was forced to make some changes in his starting lineup.
Avinisi Vasuinubu and Dan Rawaqa were replaced as Emosi Vucago and Osea Kolonisa were brought in for the rescue.
Fiji bounced back before half time as Metuisela Talebua converted Nemani Nagusa's try.
Argentina led 12-7 at half time.
In the second half, Fiji was lucky to score a try through Waisea Nayacalevu and won the match 14-12.
In the other match just finished, Canada beat USA 19-12.
Fiji plays USA at 2.56 this afternoon in its second pool match.
Tomorrow at 9.06am Fiji will take on Canada in its last pool match.
Cup quarters final will begin at 1.52pm tomorrow.
Cup Semi final will begin at 7.32am on Monday and Cup final will be played at 10.28am.
