Stand‑in captain Steven Luatua has joined Jerome Kaino and Luke Braid on the sideline for the remainder of the season with a dislocated shoulder ‑ and All Blacks lock Patrick Tuipulotu is also unlikely to return for the franchise this year.
Luatua dislocated his shoulder in second half of his side's much‑needed 23‑18 win over the Bulls.
Tuipulotu has an on‑going hip injury that has worsened and he, too, is unlikely to make it back within the next month.
The Blues face the Hurricanes at 7.35pm Saturday.
