With the cool season upon us, the Nadi Weather Office has recorded temperatures as low as 12 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country.
Director Rajendra Prasad said Ba recorded the lowest temperature at 12.9 degrees last Saturday while the temperature in Ba last month was 12.4 degrees Celsius.
Prasad said more cooler nights and days are expected in the coming months as the cool season is expected to last till September this year.
The lowest temperature recorded so far in the country was 6.5 degrees Celsius on July 20th, 1987, in the Monasavu area in the interior of Viti Levu.
