Outgoing High Performance Unit Manager, Peter Murphy said one of the most challenging task in his role as the HPU manager is looking after the welfare for young professional rugby players.
Murphy said most of the young players brought in to be part of the HPU, are often tempted by overseas contracts but do not fully understand the requirements before signing up.
He said though he has been criticised for stopping some players from taking up overseas contracts, he believes he has set a platform which will see upcoming players enjoying their careers with European clubs.
Murphy is also happy with the current set up of the HPU since he arrived in 2006 when he was the only one working for Unit.
