Concerns about illegal logging in the province of Macuata have again surfaced, with Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama instructing his government officials to look into the matter immediately.
The issue was raised by members of the Macuata Provincial Council this morning, after which Commodore Bainimarama instructed officials from Fiji Forest Industries and Police to find a solution to the problem as every time he visits the province the same issue pops up.
