Look Into Our Plight
That has been the reality of life for the villagers of Nakorovou in Wainimala, Naitasiri, for many decades.
Speaking to Fijivillage, village chief Ratu Rusiate Rogoca said their forefathers had gone through these difficult times and he hopes that the new generation will not go through the same experience.
He said the past politicians and governments have not kept their promises to construct the road.
Ratu Rusiate said they had hoped that politicians, who were chosen to represent them in parliament would look into their plight, but nothing has eventuated to date.
He said the SDL government constructed a road a few years ago where the provincial council meeting was held, but after a few months, the road was washed away by the floods and was never repaired.
Ratu Rusiate hopes the government of the day will look into their plight.
