Last year's Western Zone 2 Coca Cola U-19 Deans trophy qualifier, Ratu Navula and Lomawai Secondary School are again favorites to carry the western schools hope this year.

West Zone 2 co-ordinator Lionel Danford said the two schools have been undefeated throughout this season, but they should expect a tough competition from their semifinal opponents during the play-off today.

Danford added the U-19 semifinal which will have Lomawai playing against neighbour Nadroga/Navosa Provincial School will be the feature game of today.

He believes Lomawai will have an edge in experience but with the two teams coming from the same province and most of the players knowing each other very well will mean that it will be a close contest.

In other semifinal, Ratu Navula takes on Saint Thomas.

The Western Zone 2 semifinal kicks-off at 12pm in the U-16 grades at Prince Charles Park ground number 2.
