Lomawai upsets Ratu Navula in U19 final
The school from Nadroga will feature in the Deans quarterfinals for the first time next week after beating favourites and last year's Western champion Ratu Navula in the under 19 final by 8 points to 6.
Lomawai Secondary will now face Nasinu Secondary in the Deans quarterfinal next week at the Post Fiji stadium.
In the other finals played at Churchill Park saw Natabua College defeat Cuvu College 5-0 in the under 14 division while Natabua beat Nadi Sangam 22-3 in the under 15 division.
The under 16 final was won by Ratu Navula after they defeated Saint Thomas 23-5. Natabua took out the under 17 final beating Ratu Navula 16-13 and Natabua also won the under 18 final winning by 29 points to 3 over Swami Vivekananda High.
Now the schools that have qualified from the respective zones will meet in the Fiji Secondary School's National quarterfinals next week at the Post Fiji stadium.
